Cody Currie won the KOH Sportsman UTV class and was the only Sportsman to finish. His time of 7 hours 27 minutes would’ve earned him second in UTV Pros, as he caught and passed Bulloch after Chocolate Thunder in his Kawasaki Teryx 800 with long travel suspension.

Dean “Ice Man” Bulloch of D&P Performance was second overall in UTV Pros and was second UTV through Chocolate Thunder near the end of the second loop. Other rock ravines had menacing names like Aftershock, Sledgehammer, Jackhammer, and Jackhammer North. Bulloch raced an almost-stock Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport 700.

The team of Mitch Guthrie Senior (driver) and Junior (co-pilot/winch jockey) in a Nelson & Nelson Racing Products/Factory Polaris RZR XP1K won their sixth Hammer trophy and beat second place by 1 hour 28 minutes. For winning the UTV Pros, Guthrie won the 2015 RZR XP 1000 EPS.

The seventh annual King of the Hammers UTV race was sponsored by Polaris RZR, and 51 teams from 18 states raced more than 110 miles of California desert and less than 10 miles of extreme rock crawling at the Johnson Valley OHV Recreation Area in hopes of winning a 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS. Only 5 UTVs made all three loops within the time limit, making this the toughest one-day UTV race in America.

Chad Hughes was at home in the SoCal sand and rocks, as he lives in Hurricane, Utah, home of Sand Hollow State OHV Park and site of the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) round, and he was fifth overall and fourth UTV Pro at KOH with a time of 8:39:30.
