The Sturgis Off Road Rally’s 2018 are added to our 2018 EVENTS CALENDAR.

Full Throttle Saloon Off Road Rally July 25-30

The iconic Full Throttle Saloon is kicking off the riding season with a new Off Road Rally brought to you by Polaris and Highlifter. This rally is only a week before the big motorcycle rally begins, so if you like bikes too, you won’t be disappointed.  At this event, you can see Rhett Rotten’s Wall Of Death (on a motorcycle) check out vendor and of naturally trail ride. Polaris will have demos which will be a great place to try out the RS1. Contests include Bad 2 da Bone, sled pulls, poker runs and mud bogs. Event wristbands are $75.

To make your UTV temporarily street legal in South Dakota;

  • When you arrive in Sturgis, visit Meade County Treasurer’s Office, 1300 Sherman Street, Suite 107, Sturgis, SD 57785.
  • You may call the Treasurer’s Office at 605.347.5871 or email them at [email protected]
  • Fee for temporary license plate will be $5-$15 depending on vehicle.
  • Meade County Treasurer’s Office will need the following:
  • Purchase a Motorized Trail Permit at https://blackhillsparks.org/product-category/atv-permits/
  • Off Road Vehicles have to have the following to be street legal: Rear view Mirror, Horn, Exhaust and muffler, Headlights, License plate light, Parking lights, tail lights, stop lights, & Minimum 200cc engine for 4-wheel

Sturgis Off Road Rally, September 21-23 

The City of Sturgis, South Dakota  is excited to host the 2nd Annual Sturgis Off-Road Rally Friday, September 21 – Sunday, September 23!  Along with hundreds of miles of great trail riding you can enjoy poker runs, UTV hill climb, drag races, show N shine and an OHV parade. Full package registration of $55 includes a T-shirt, Mayor’s Ride, Mayor’s Social, Poker Run, Orienteering Challenge, Hash Run, and MX races. Spectator entry into the races, and Show & Shine. (Racing entry fees are separate). Passengers are $20 each, children under 12 are free!
