2021 YAMAHA YXZ1000 R/SE

The 2021 Yamaha YXZ1000R and YXZ1000 R/SE have manual clutch, sequential stick shift, five speed transmissions. They also come with all the major YXZ upgrades added to 2019 models, a lower first gear, improved cage, large rear-mounted radiator, 29-inch tires on 156mm-bolt pattern wheels, and new shock and EPS settings. Both models get high-end Fox Podium RC2 shocks for 2021. The SE also comes with beadlock wheels, upgraded center and interior lighting and Yamaha Blue painted bodywork. For driver’s who don’t want to operate a manual clutch, Yamaha has the YXZ Sport Shift (SS), which has a geared five-speed transmission with an automatic clutch rather than the belt-type CVTs found on most UTVs. You shift gears with sports car-type paddle shifters and the system even automatically downshifts if you forget to. Upgraded pedals and paddle shifters improve control. Lower gearing, revised shock and EPS tuning , 29-inch, 8-ply Bighorn tires on wheels with a 4/156-bolt pattern, a rear radiator and a new cage were added in 2019, making the YXZ faster and easier to drive in lower speed, technical trails and wide open western conditions.
