2022 ARGO UTVs

Argo, the source of unusual amphibious UTVs, including the outrageous Sherp vehicles, expands its lineup with new, unexpectedly conventional UTVs for 2022. Here’s a look at what’s new from Argo.

NEW MAGNUM UTVs

New for 2022, Argo’s Magnum XF 500 and XF 500 LE recreation/utility UTVs are two-seat, 56.7-inch-wide machines that fit in the bed of a full-size pickup. They’re powered by a 443cc, four-valve, single-cylinder, fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine. A dual-range automatic transmission makes them easy to drive, and selectable 2WD/4WD with locking front and rear differentials gives these machines impressive off-road capability and Turf mode.

Both Magnum models have double-A-arm front and rear suspension with spring preload-adjustable shocks and 7.5 inches of travel. These machines feature a tilting bed can carry 500 pounds. There’s a storage compartment in the tailgate, and the bed comes with a bed mat. There’s more storage in the glove box and under the hood and seats.

The Magnum XF starts at $9999 and comes with steel wheels and green-painted bodywork. The Magnum XF LE starts at $11,399 and adds power steering, a 3000-pound winch, aluminum wheels and painted Flame Orange or Slate Grey bodywork.

SHERP UTVs

Argo also offers Sherp amphibious UTVs. The Sherp Pro XT is 101 inches wide, nearly 10 feet tall and rolls on massive 71-inch tires offering 26 inches of ground clearance. The heated and air-conditioned full cab provides all-season comfort and seats two, or up to eight with optional seats.  A three-cylinder, 1800cc diesel engine offers 55 horsepower with a 25-mph top speed on land. A 6-speed manual transmission and hydraulic skid-steer system provide reliability and precise control. The Argo Sherp Pro XT starts at $130,999.

The Sherp Ark XTX is 100 inches wide, has 63-inch tires and is powered by a 74-horsepower, 2.4-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission. This vehicle seats up to four and adds the utility of a six-wheel amphibious trailer to the Sherp’s remarkable all-terrain capability. It starts at $319,999.

The Sherp Ark XTZ matches the Ark XTX’s size and performance and adds seating for up to 22 people with its enclosed trailer. The Ark XTX starts at $369,999.

FRONTIER, AURORA AND CONQUEST AMPHIBIOUS UTVs

For 2022, Argo’s Frontier, Aurora and Conquest six- and eight-wheel amphibious models will share the newly designed Instant Torque Drive System (ITDS) and Instant Torque Clutching (ITC). Engineered to enhance torque, acceleration, speed and throttle response, the combination ITDS and ITC alleviates the need to offer two different transmission options, like the High-Torque (HT) and Standard Torque (ST) transmission found in previous years. Along with the new drive system and clutching, there’s a newly engineered 8.5-gallon steel fuel tank with the fuel-level display integrated into the dash-mounted, multi-function premium and deluxe gauge versions.

The value-centered Frontier series will be offered in both 6×6 and 8×8 variants with 650 or 700 engine options powered by the 23-horsepower carbureted or Electronic Fuel-Injected (EFI) Vanguard engine. Also included on all Frontier models for 2022 are high-visibility LED taillights. Pricing for Frontier models starts at $9999 for the Frontier 650 6×6 and ranges to $20,899 for the Frontier 700 Scout 8×8.

The Aurora series returns as Argo’s premiere six- and eight-wheel UTV lineup. Offered with 800, 850 and 950 V-twin engines, Aurora models are available with premium seating, winches, brushguards, and bead lock wheels. Aurora models startat $26,699 for the Aurora 800 SX and go to $30,899 for the Aurora 950 SX-R.

Conquest Outfitter six- and eight-wheel amphibious models are engineered for sportsmen by sportsmen with a sturdy brush guard, heavy-duty front rack and 4500-pound winch as standard equipment. Available with 800 liquid-cooled and 950 fan-cooled engines with up to 40 horsepower, the Outfitter offers exceptional capability in challenging terrain. The Conquest 800 Outfitter is $37,999. The Conquest 950 Outfitter is $38,199.
