2022 HONDA TALONS
TALON 1000R/1000R FOX LIVE VALVE
There are two versions of the Talon 1000R—Honda’s 68.4-inch-wide sport machine; the base model with Fox QS3 compression-adjustable shocks and the Fox Live Valve. Both have 17.7 inches of travel up front and 20.1 inches in the rear. Honda’s computer-controlled Fox Live Valve suspension delivers a smoother ride in slow and fast driving, and the system also offers better control and stability because it’s so aware and responds so quickly. Sensors monitor the engine, transmission, steering, brakes, G-forces and the vehicle’s angle, and continuously adjusts the suspension automatically. Honda’s Live Valve suspension also offers two dashboard button-selectable modes, a comfort-focused Standard mode and Sport mode for more aggressive driving.
Honda’s unique, geared 6-speed transmission has no drive belt to wear or break, and it offers automatic and manual shifting modes, with sport and normal automatic shift programs, plus low and high range. The Live Valve model also has Launch mode, which allows full-throttle acceleration from a dead stop.
