$85,000 UTV Vs. CLASS 10 RACE AT KOH

The 2021 King Of The Hammers schedule was announced recently and a new $85,000 UTV Vs. Class 10 desert race has been added to the opening weekend known as “2021 Toyo Tires Desert Challenge, presented by Monster Energy” in Johnson Valley Jan 29-31.

This desert race will pit Class 10 buggies head to head with the UTVs in a fight for their portion of a 85,000 purse.

First place in each class UTV (B3) or 10 (B2) will get $10,000 for their efforts, 2nd will receive $5000 and third gets $2500. Plus the big money goes to the overall winner between the two classes which is an extra $50,000.

Other desert classes added this year are Trophy Spec, Class 1 in their own grudge match. Plus there will be an short course, Class 11 race under the lights on Sunday January 31st. Can you say “Herbie Goes Bananas” ?

Then the week of rock racing will start on Monday. UTV’s qualify on Monday, Feb 1st and race on Thursday, Feb 4th.

We predict the UTVs will come out on top if the course is as tight and sandy as the Trophy Trucks ran on last year in the Toyo Invitational.

Last years UTV “Rock Race” was won by Hunter Miller in his Elka and Maxxis backed Can-Am X3. He’s a favorite to win no matter what the discipline.
