ARIZONA GILA MONSTER UTV FEST APRIL 16-18th 2021

Arizona UTV enthusiasts will want to check out the Gila Monster UTV Fest this weekend at Globe in the center of the state. Globe is in the heart of the Tonto National Forest with beautiful mountain views, and it’s rich in mining history. It’s named after a huge globe-shaped pure silver nugget found nearby. UTV Offroad Adventures teamed up with the town of Globe to host this spectacular UTV event, and the Gila County Fairgrounds is an excellent venue for festival headquarters. There are many areas to park RVs and trailers and pitch tents. Globe has also been the site of World and National motorcycle trials events in the past.

There will be a 15-20-mile Friday night ride and guided 40+-mile rides on Saturday and Sunday. The Tonto National Forest is one of the most beautiful and healthy forests in the southwest if not the nation. Rides have guides and sweeps with radio communications so that nobody gets lost, and they can also be reached by cell. Night and daily rides also have Poker Run drawing stops; hands are $20 each or six for $100. Raffle tickets are $5, 5 for $20 or 25 for $100.

Both days start with breakfast, and Saturday also has a corn hole tournament, dinner, music, raffles, vendors, and more. Online registration ended April 11th, so weekend entry fees are $170 per driver and $140 per passenger, and one-day entries are $75 for drivers and $60 for passengers. All weekend entries include guided trail rides, event T-shirt, swag bag (including free issues of UTV Action and Dirt Wheels Magazines), two breakfasts, one dinner, one raffle ticket, corn hole tournament, and camping.

If it’s too late or far to make the Gila Monster, UTV Offroad Adventures will hold the Cherry Creek UTV Fest April 30th through May 2nd at Young, Arizona, also in the Tonto NF. Itineraries and entries are the same, and the Cherry Creek Fest rides will be a 40+-mile Haigler Creek Loop and a 60+-mile Aztec Peak Loop. Daily rides leave the Cherry Creek Lodge, a working cattle ranch, at 8:30AM.
