–Every choice for your UTV with photos, info & prices —

In colder climates, a UTV windshield can be the difference between year-round enjoyment and parking it for the winter. Luckily for us, there are many different windshield options for a little extra elemental protection. Depending on your preference, there are options like fixed, folding and tilting. With full protection or even the increasingly popular half-shield deflector design, you can spend a little to a lot, with durability and material being the deciding factor. We believe there is a windshield out there for everyone and every price range.

A simple one-piece windshield design constructed of very durable, 3/16-inch-thick, MR-10, hard-coated polycarbonate is on both sides for superior scratch resistance. While it does cost a little more to use polycarbonate, it offers superior strength and durability compared to lower-priced acrylic options from the competition. The poly windshield offers tool-less installation and removal on any of the profile tube cages like the General and certain Rangers, as well as a simple, straight-forward install for most other UTVs on the market. They are DOT-rated and etched. With proper care, these can last the life of the vehicle.

Fits: Available for most Polaris UTVs, Arctic Cat Wildcats, Can-Am Commanders and Mavericks, Honda Pioneers, John Deere Gators, Kawasaki Mule and Teryx, and all Yamaha UTVs.

Price: $190–$375

Touted as the “best of both windshields,” the EMP Flip Up adjusts securely to three different positions—flipped up/open for slow driving, closed for those extra cold days or vented for the hot ones. The EMP Flip Up windshield is made of virtually unbreakable MR10 hard-coated polycarbonate. Installation takes less than an hour, and you can even remove it in minutes without tools on those warmer days. EMP offers windshields for just about every UTV, but the Flip Up design is only available for the latest Polaris models.

Fits: Polaris General, XP1K, RZR 800, 900 & 1000

Price: $369–375

If you’re looking for the ultimate luxury windshield option, EMP offers a laminated safety glass windshield with a pre-installed, hand-operated windshield wiper for the rain or wet weather. The DOT-rated safety glass windshield has the stamp etched into the glass to meet many state requirements for on-road use.

Fits: Polaris General, Ranger, RZR, RZR XP 1000, Kawasaki Mule and Teryx, Honda Pioneer, Yamaha Rhino

Price: $299–$675

While it looks like this half-windshield design would allow all the cold air and rain to still hit you square in the face, that’s not the case. The deflector design does an amazing job of directing the cold wind up and over your head. What’s more, the half shield won’t completely block your vision when muddy like a conventional windshield. Another really cool advantage we’ve found is in the dust; a conventional windshield seems to funnel the dust around into the cab, where as the half shield still deflects it over the top. This is a great option for year-round use, as we find ourselves still enjoying the wind deflection in the summer.

The EMP half windshield is made from the same super-tough, hard-coated polycarbonate as their higher-end windshields, so it’s nearly impossible to scratch or break. It mounts easily with super-simple rubber straps so it can be easily removed without tools. DOT rated and stamped.

Fits: Polaris RZR, RZR XPs, Rangers, Can-Am Commanders and Mavericks, Honda Pioneer, Kawasaki Teryx, Yamaha Viking, Wolverine, and YXZ1000R/SS.

Price: $109–$154
