CAYDEN MACCACHREN AND POLARIS TAKE WORCS 2021 PRO STOCK CHAMPIONSHIP
BEAU JUDGE AND CAN-AM DOMINATE WORCS 2021 PRO PRODUCTION TURBO TITLE
The World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) held its final two UTV rounds of 2021 at the Buffalo Bill’s Casino in Primm, Nevada. On Friday, amateur-class racers negotiated the Lucas Oil Off-Road short course for 12 laps, while Pro classes raced the one-minute course for 14 laps. In Pro Stock 1000s, six-time winner Cayden MacCachren shot into the lead ahead of Nic Granlund’s single-seat Yamaha YXZ with Brayden Baker third and Beau Baron fourth. On the ninth lap, Baker capitalized on a mid-race restart to zap both Granlund and MacCachren for the lead, and he won by more than two seconds over Cayden Mac. Dylan Lemburg made it an all-RS1 podium.

In Pro Production Turbo short-course, Ronnie Anderson, fresh off the Texas Outlaw NA 1000 championship, shot into the lead with Shawn Saxton close behind. Saxton took over the lead, while Anderson would drop out with a mechanical. Saxton turned the fastest lap of the race, a 00:57.743, before dropping to the back of the pack and handing the lead to RJ Anderson. Points leader Beau Judge worked up from seventh at the start to second, and he would trade the lead a few times with Anderson, winning by 1.3 seconds. Matt Hancock would also work up from seventh in early laps to third.

Sunday would have a longer desert course with Pro Turbos turning 8.5-minute laps. RJ Anderson led the Pro Production Turbos until midway with Beau Judge second. Beau Baron was on fire and led the second wave with clear track in early laps. Baron moved up to second physically, and he won the overall by almost 17 seconds on adjusted time. Judge and Anderson rounded out the podium. In Pro Stocks, Chris Johnson led the first lap before being passed by Cayden Mac. Beau Baron and Davi Haagsma led the second wave, and Baron would again win from the second row on adjusted time to sweep the Pro classes. Cayden Mac and Haagsma would make it an all-RS1 podium.

Second for Baron would secure second-place Pro Stock points behind MacCachren and ahead of former teammate Haagsma. Judge’s Pro Production Turbo win on Friday was enough to clinch the championship a round early, and Haagsma’s 8-4 weekend kept him in second-place turbo points. MacCahren’s 7-7 weekend in the turbo class was good for third for the series in his normally-aspirated RS1.
