Today the rally resumes after a break at the halfway. Two Americans drivers Seth Quintero (Red Bull OT3) and Austin Jones (Can-Am X3) are sitting 2nd and 3rd respectively. Another Can-Am X3 driver Aron Domzala leads the light weight vehicles overall by only 40 seconds over Seth. Enjoy this Dakar photo gallery from week one. Wayne Matlock’s goal is to finish is first Dakar. He sits in the 20th spot currently.

Kristen Matlock broke early and now runs in the experience class allowing her to attempt to finish the Dakar.

Austin Jones is trying to pick up where Case Currie left off last year with a win for Can-Am and the U.S. Jones sits in 3rd at the halfway point.

Seth became the youngest stage winner at Dakar. He is on track to become the youngest class winner as long as he can keep his Red Bull OT3 together

Polaris sent an all-star team to Dakar, unfortunately, lessons had to be learned this year. Hopefully they will be back bigger and stronger in 2022.

Cristina Gutierrez Herrero became the first female to win a Dakar Stage since 2005.

Seth Quintero was too young to race the 2020 Dakar, despite being a Pro-NA champion in the USA. Check out the forward-steering setup and his shocks mounted to the lower A-arms on his Red Bull RZR.

During his first Dakar Rally, Seth is already being compared to one of the all time greats of the sport.
