In a series normally dominated by Yamaha YXZ1000R’s and Polaris RZR RS1’s, Dave Mason Jr, put his RACECO-USA built Honda Talon 1000R on top of the box at the biggest Championship Off-Road race of the year in Crandon, Wisconsin. We’ve been keeping an eye on this team since the beginning of the year and seeing improvement at each round.

Corner exit speed is what we saw improved this weekend and it kept Mason Jr. in the fight during Polaris Championship Weekend. A little Irish luck came the team’s way when CJ Greaves’ Polaris RS1 pulled off course in a puff of smoke after leading early. Dave fended off a pack of YXZ’s wanting the win as well, giving Honda its first win against the Championship Off-Road Series regulars.

The next Champ Off-Road rounds are at Mid America Off-Road September 23rd and 24th.
