DYLAN MARQUARDT AND YAMAHA WIN KOE SPRING NATIONAL PRO STOCKS

KYLE CHANEY AND CAN-AM TOP TURBO AT KOE SPRING NATIONAL

Dirt City Motorplex hosted the SxS Sports King of the Elements (KOE) Spring National in Lena, Wisconsin, and there were 101 UTV entries in 170, 570, Sportsman, Diva, Pro Stock and Pro Mod. In Qualifying heats, Dylan Marquardt won the first Pro Stock heat in his YXZ, turning a 58.235-second lap. In the second Pro Stock heat, Scott Wasz (Yam) won with a 57.366 fast lap, but Owen VanEperen (Yam), Johnny Holtger (Yam), and Jeremy Houle (A-C) all turned 56-second fast laps.

Kyle Chaney (191) won the Pro Mod A-Main handily, while Own VanEperen (5) was second in both Pro Modand Pro Stock. Scottie Lawrence (26) won his heat to start up front, but he faded out of the top ten.

In Pro Mod Qualifiers, Owen VanEperen won Heat 1 with a 54.162 fast lap, but Kyle Chaney was second with a quicker 53.135, and sixth-place Brian Waszak (Yam) turned a 53.992. In Heat 2, Scottie Lawrence (C-A) won with a 54.753 fast lap, but Rodney VanEperen (Yam) was second with a 53.649 fast lap.

In the Pro Mod A-Main, Chaney started second but quickly took the lead and led every lap for a convincing 3.3-second win ahead of Owen VanEperen, who finished 13.4 seconds ahead of Andy Kleczka (Yam), who had to slice through the 12-car field to take third. Scottie Lawrence started third and was second in early laps, but he limped through the main steadily dropping to 11th.

Pro Stock Spring national Podium.

In the Pro Stock A-Main, Marquardt started third and was in the lead by the end of the first lap, never to relinquish it and winning over Owen VanEperen by 3.1 seconds. Arctic Derby winner RJ Lego (Yam) sat on the pole and settled into second but dropped out at the race’s midpoint. Scott Wasz started fourth and dropped to fifth for five laps but capitalized on Lego’s and Johnny Holtger’s misfortunes to take the final podium spot.

In Sportsman UTVs, Tyson Marquardt qualified third and took the win over Chase Kleist and Dylan Parsons, all in Yamahas. Amber Holtger won the Divas ahead of Cassie Christensen and Julie Elbe, all in Yamahas. Chase Braun won the 570 Main ahead of Troy Johnson and Ben Heiting, all in RZRs. The biggest class was the Minis with 20 entries, and Raymond Deininger won over Collin Paitl and Grant Dresel.
