Jamborees like the Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks (August 2019 UTV Action) are great places to see and get deals on the latest and greatest UTV products and, in many cases, demo new products. Vendors bring their newest inventions and show off their latest builds using those innovations. At the ROTR, STI went biggest with not one but four new 35-inch UTV tires, while GBC unveiled Mini Mongrels for Polaris 170 racers and introduced Kanati 35-inchTerra Masters.

Mount spare axles and more with Assault’s Quickfist multi-purpose clamps. Adjustable rubber Quickfist clamps with pull tabs conform to awkwardly shaped objects like belts and tools, and they come in 1.0- and 1.5-inch sizes. GBC Motorsports introduces the Mini Mongrel, the industry’s first youth-specific UTV racing tires. Mini Mongrels replace the 20-inch RZR 170 tires with 23×7.0R10 and 23×8.0R10 Mini Mongrels with the same tread pattern as the big Mongrels. These 6-ply tires have more sidewall for a plusher ride, low-rolling resistance and great traction. The fronts weigh 16.4 pounds, while rears are 17.7 pounds. Tread depth is 15/32 inches, and MSRPs are $108.34and $116.14
Seizmik introduces its Pursuit Night Vision LED side-view mirrors with white and green Cree LED chips to provide side illumination. The green 266-lumen LED preserves night-vision acuity, while the white 565-lumen LED lights up the sides of trails for turning or avoiding obstacles. The mirrors have cast-aluminum housings, IP68 water-resistant ratings, low-profile mounting, convex mirrors with floating enclosed mirror mounts, and preset position detents. SuperATV high-clearance Talon A-arms gives 1.5 inches of extra clearance with 1.25-inch steel tubing with chromoly pivot blocks and ball-joint housings. Pivot blocks are preset for an easy install, or adjust camber for handling, larger tires or lifts. DragonFire Racing has new universal accessory mounts for a clean way to install whips, lights and more to 1.75–2.0-inch round tubes or Pro-Fit cages. An adjustable bracket on the clamps lets you dial in the angle for any fitment. Round clamps are $29.99 and Pro-Fit clamps are $34.99. If you add performance to your X3 Turbo, the Injector Duty Cycle (IDC) approaches 100 percent. Dynojet’s X3 big injector upgrade lowers the IDC with its high-flow injector upgrade. Baja Designs’ OnX6+ 10-inch full laser light throws light 350-percent further than LED lights. The Laser Light produces 3000 lumens with six laser chips with a life expectancy of 49,930 hours. STI’s Roctane XR now comes in 35×10.0R18, joining 12 sizes from 25x8R12 to 34x10R14. The 8-ply radial has RockWall sidewall and RocGuard rim guard, and the open tread design is a great replacement for OEM Bighorns. Roctane XRs use a heavier denier nylon cord for maximum toughness and flexibility, and the wide footprint delivers a smooth, quiet ride. STI goes big with the new 35×9.5R15 Chicane designed for a smooth ride with outstanding bump absorption via sidewall flex and a flat profile with ground-gripping tread. A deep rim guard and reinforced bead and lower sidewall allow lower tire pressures for maximum performance and ride quality from the 8-ply radial. Now you can get STI’s 10-ply X-Comp ATR Radial in 35x10R15. The LT-inspired X-Comp exceeds DOT standards with dual steel belts, nylon cap plies and a polyester carcass. A large footprint and multi-angle shoulder treads assure massive traction on intermediate to hard terrain, and the extra sidewall delivers even better ride quality than the 32-inch X-Comp. The 32x10R14 has a load rating above 1500 pounds. MSRP for the 35-inch ATR is TBA.
System 3 Off-Road’s new 35×9.5R15 RT320 Race and Trail joins the 32x10R15, 30x10R14 and 28x10R14, and the 8-ply radial has a load rating over 1000 pounds. The RT320 has non-directional tread, rides smooth and quiet on hard surfaces, and it digs into softer soils. XTC Powersports has six-switch power control systems for Can-Am X3s and Polaris RZRs for $339 to $379. These Plug & Play power controls have an 8GA power cable with a main circuit breaker, three 10-amp direct circuits, two 20-amp relayed circuits and one built-in two-channel flasher circuit with switch. A fuse block has fuses for each circuit and a barrier strip for clean installation. Diode protection reduces voltage spikes, and it’s wired for bottom-row lighting. Double-A Off-Road makes portable UTV trailers for two-seat and four-seat UTVs no wider than 68 inches. The Trail-head trailer is designed for the toy-hauler owner who needs to transport his UTV to the trailhead but doesn’t want to move the whole camp. Razorback Off-Road introduces its Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Flip-up windshield. The full-sized DOT-approved glass windshield has an aluminum frame with maximum viewing area, and it folds down and locks to a mount that protrudes through the XP1K grill. The frame is powdercoated back and includes a manually operated windshield wiper. It installs easily on the Ranger Pro-Fit cage with no drilling and sells for $1199. See www.razorbackoffroad.com.
Exit Shocks make inexpensive dual-rate spring kits for RZR WER shocks, and eight springs with billet dividers and cross-over rings sell for $795.They have kits for two- and four-seat RZR XP 1000s and Turbos that increase ride height and decrease body roll while increasing bottoming resistance. Z-Broz Racing billet radius rods offer even more strength and style than their ARS-FX high-clearance tubular lower and upper radius rod kits ($499–$519). The Polaris RZR XP billet maximum ground-clearance lower radius rod kit is $399 with billet mounting hardware, 5/8-inch spherical rod end and adjustable camber link.
