GENERAL FACTORY CUSTOM EDITION

The route from the machine you buy to the customized machine you really want can take years and thousands of dollars. If it’s a fully decked-out crossover UTV you’re after, Polaris has a shortcut for you—the Polaris General Factory Custom Edition. Two- and four-seat models are available, and it may be the machine you’ve been dreaming of.

GENERAL FACTORY CUSTOM EDITION
Matte Titanium painted bodywork with Polaris Blue-accented suspension parts, bumper and beadlock rings set the two- and four-seat General XP 1000 Factory Custom Editions apart at a glance, but there’s much more to these special editions.
GENERAL FACTORY CUSTOM EDITION
The Factory Custom Editions are built on the 64-inch-wide General XP 1000 platform. Arched, high-clearance A-arms and 30-inch Pro Armor Crawler XG tires provide 13.5 inches of ground clearance.

WHAT’S SO CUSTOM ABOUT THE FACTORY CUSTOM EDITION?

Steven Menneto, President of Polaris Off-Road, said, “With the General XP 1000 Factory Custom Edition, we wanted to deliver an off-road experience that can typically only be found with a full-blown custom vehicle.” Polaris used feedback from riders to develop the Factory Custom Edition’s unique look and its special group of standard features. Matte Titanium painted bodywork with Polaris Blue-accented suspension parts, bumper, seat trim, beadlock rings and steering-wheel stitching, along with Polaris Blue and carbon fiber graphics show careful attention to detail and make the machine stand out. Like many drivers’ personalized machines, the Factory Custom’s looks are only part of the whole package.

GENERAL FACTORY CUSTOM EDITION
All General XP 1000s have 15-inch wheels, heavy-duty front bumpers and 4500-pound winches, but only Factory Customs come with color-matched Pro Armor beadlocks. The 11-inch Pro Armor light bar is another Factory Custom extra.

CUSTOMIZED FOR MORE CAPABILITY

The Factory Custom Edition starts with the very capable 64-inch-wide General XP 1000 platform. With 100 horsepower, suspension with 14 inches of travel front and rear, a large tilting cargo bed that holds 600 pounds of cargo and the ability to tow 1500 pounds, it has serious sport and utility capability. Compression and spring preload-adjustable Walker Evans Velocity piggyback reservoir shocks take aggressive driving in stride and allow damping adjustments without tools.

Double-A-arm front and rear suspension with Walker Evans Velocity shocks and 14 inches of travel let you make full use of the General XP 1000’s 100 horsepower.

Pro Armor Crawler XG 30-inch tires on 15-inch Pro Armor HEXLR beadlock wheels with color-matched beadlock rings join arched front and rear A-arms to deliver 13.5 inches of ground clearance. High-clearance A-arms and 30-inch tires on 15-nch wheels are available on other General XP 1000 models, but only the Factory Custom comes with beadlocks. The Factory Custom also comes with a roof, full doors, power steering, heavy-duty front bumper, 4500-pound Polaris winch and a rear-view mirror, like all General XP 1000s. An 11-inch Pro Armor light bar adds visibility.

The Factory Customs are the only General XP 1000s with factory-installed Ride Command and Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio.

AUDIO AND RIDE COMMAND

Sound systems and navigation are among the most popular additions to well-outfitted, customized machines, but most riders dread installing and wiring these accessories. The Factory Custom Edition comes with factory-installed Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio with four surround-speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer. Factory-installed Polaris Ride Command with a 7-inch glove-touch display lets riders stay informed, connected and on course with GPS navigation to map and share their journey, Group Ride to track the location of other vehicles and keep the group together, and Follow mode that lets the group leader leave a digital track for others to follow.

Comfortable, supportive General XP 1000 seats come with color-matched piping and embroidered badging on the Factory Custom Editions.

THE COST OF CUSTOM

The two-seat General XP 1000 Factory Custom Edition is $26,499. The four-seat Factory Custom Edition is $28,699. They’re $2000 more than the next best-equipped General XP 1000 two- and four-seat models, but they’re the only ones with factory-installed Ride Command, Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio and beadlock wheels. They’re very good values, even before you consider all the additional custom touches.
