HOW-TO: RZR PRO R OIL CHANGE

STEP1: Gather the tools and supplies you’ll need for the job. You’ll need 6 quarts of 0W-50 or 5W-50 oil, a filter, drain plug sealing washer, a container for the used oil, funnel, a T40 Torx wrench, a 6mm Allen wrench, a 2.5 oil filter wrench, rubber gloves and a couple shop rags. We used Maxima SxS Synthetic oil, which is safe for all UTVs.

STEP 2: Park the machine on a level surface. Remove the cargo box for access to the oil filler cap and position the used oil container under the drain plug. Warm the engine for three minutes to help the oil drain.

STEP 5: Clean the oil filter sealing surface on the engine, then wipe clean oil on the rubber oil filter gasket and install the filter. Hand tighten the filter three quarters of a turn after the gasket contacts the sealing surface.

STEP 6: Add 5.5 quarts of oil to the engine and replace the oil fill cap. Start the engine and let it run for one minute to fill the filter while checking for leaks.

STEP 7: Turn off the engine, wait 3 minutes and check the oil level with the dip stick. It should be at or near the upper mark on the dip stick. Add oil if needed. Always check the oil level with the engine cold. Reinstall the cargo box.
