INDIANA IOWA ARKANSAS & AXCC CROSS-COUNTRY UTV RACING

American Cross-Country Championship Series (AXCC) is partnering with Arkansas Cross-Country, Midwest Cross-Country and Iowa ATV Hare Scrambles Series to put on its 2021 series race dates, including the GBC Heartland Challenge. UTV classes are Open/Expert, A, B, and Lites/570.

The Iowa ATV/UTV Hare Scrambles Series kicks of April 17th with the Rush Creek Rumble at Stockton, Illinois. The host track is located at 586 N. Bradshaw Road, Stockton, IL 61085. In addition to the seven IATVHSS points-paying rounds, the Heartland Challenge will be held August 6-7 at Fort Dodge, Iowa, which will also pay points to the AXCC final round.

For 2021, Iowa ATV Hare Scrambles will have a Team XC Championship in partnership with AXCC; each team consists of one Youth ATV, one Adult ATV, and one UTV/SxS and will compete for the season championship. Also, Rounds 5 and 6 will be 5-point bonus rounds towards titles, and there will be Ironman Bonuses of another 5 points for those competing in every round. ATV classes race  two hours, and the final Saturday race at each round will be a one-hour UTV scrambles, starting at 4:30PM. See www.iatvhss.com for rules and information.

UTV classes are Open, Single Seat, A, B, and Lites/570, the same as AXCC. Defending UTV champions are Jarrod Sheets (Hon, Open), Chad Moret (Pol, Single Seat), Dalton Hicks (A-C, A), Jeff Modlin (C-A, B), and Josey Watkins (A-C, Lites/570). Founded in 2004, this will be the 18th year of IATVHSS thanks to Andy and Tracy Kyner. The Heartland Challenge 10-hour endurance race started 2008.

MIDWEST CROSS-COUNTRY ATV RACING SERIES

The Midwest Cross-Country Racing Series holds its third round on April 17th and 18th with the Bloomfield Holler in Bloomfield, Indiana. Bikes races Saturday, and the UTV Race goes off at 5:30PM after the Pit Bike race. Pro UTV entries are $100 with a top-3 payout, and Amateur UTV class entries are $60. Transponder rentals are $5. Ty Phillips (C-A) won the Swamp Rat’s Revenge and lead an all-Can-Am podium with Barry Miller second and Rick Strange third.

AXC RACING ATV/UTV SERIES

The Arkansas Cross-Country Racing Series has a 12-round ATV schedule for 2021, with UTVs racing seven rounds towards championships. UTVs raced the first two rounds in Missouri but don’t compete again until June 12th and 13th at Black Rock, AR. Shane Paxston (C-A) won the A/Experts at the Rock Crusher Meltdown at Bolivar, while Caleb Broeker (Pol) won the A/Experts at the Hower Holler at Alton, MO.
