Jamboree season heats up and bumps the rev limiter in mid-June through July, so get your UTV prepped and ready to provide family fun. Windrock Park adds the Great Smokey Mountain Trail Ride to its Spring Shindig and Fall Jam, starting June 12th and ending with what’s sure to be a great concert the 18th. Windrock has 73,000 acres to explore, as did Jeepers the first weekend in May, and the Windrock crew put on the Roam4Lo the first weekend in June. The GSMT is UTVs’ turn at taking to the trails with epic views of the Tennessee Appalachia Mountains and challenging limestone ledges and monoliths. See “Inside Scoop” for jamboree contacts.

Fillmore, Utah, is the site of the 35th National ATV/UTV Jamboree on June 21st through 25th and is put on by the Millard County Tourism Board. Besides guided trail rides, the National Jam has a starry ride, obstacle course race, mud bog, sled pull, poker run, other activities and many prizes. June 21st kicks off with short, guided rides, a welcome dinner and raffle prizes, and the 22nd has rides leaving from the Territorial State House and heading to the famous Paiute trail, while other rides trailer to trailheads after a hot breakfast. After a catered dinner and prizes, the night ride leaves. After Friday’s dinner, the fairgrounds host an ice cream social and the obstacle course and poker run prize awards. After rides return Saturday, there’s a classic car show and family fun night with food vendors, games, mud bog, sled pull, and dash for cash.

Further west, the first of three UTV Takeovers hits Coos Bay on June 22nd for big fun at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Besides guided daily and nightly dune rides, there are barrel races, sand drags, short-course races, racing the clock, hillfest, wheelie-fest and the infamous huckfest. Other Takeover fun includes a 150-foot gap jump, blind bandit (driver blindfolded and guided by the copilot), show & shines, stereo wars, ATC90 Olympics, rock & roll bingo, a treasure hunt, happy hour, and many other family fun activities, including a potluck dinner at the community tent, kid zone, main stage, and a monster truck display on vendor row. Beat the heat and have fun!

UTV Off-road Adventures hosts the Canyon UTV Fest July 4th weekend in Williams, Arizona, the gateway to the Grand Canyon. Beat the heat at elevations up to 10,418 feet in the world’s largest ponderosa pine forest (in Kaibab NF), and after daily guided rides, check out historic Williams, the Grand Canyon Railway Hub and Museum with many shops and restaurants dating back to the early 1900s. There are also nightly old-west shootouts, train rides, wildlife parks, and museums celebrating the Old West and Route 66.

Celebrating its 20th year, Utah’s Manti Mountain ATV/UTV Jam splits into two 2022 events, with the summer round touring the Arapeen trail system in the Manti Lasai National Forest on July 12th–13th. The Tuesday and Wednesday guided rides follow continental breakfasts and break for sack lunches on the scenic trails. Tuesday also includes dinner, all for $75. Call (435) 835-2401 for more information.

MidAmerica Outdoors holds one of its two largest jamborees on July 13th–17th, with Visions Off-Road hosting thousands of campers and UTV enthusiasts gathering for great racing and concerts. The largest and richest UTV racing series includes MidAmerica Outdoors Short-Course and American Off-Road Endurance Series’ fifth rounds, Ultra4 and National Rock Racing Bouncer and UTV races, 170s, figure-8 races, pit bikes, a demo derby, RC cars, and Barbie jeep downhill. There are also bull riding and fighting, rhythm knockout races and nightly concerts. The action and weather are going to be hot, so cool off in the MAO pool and tubing course. If you don’t have a UTV to bring, MAO is a Polaris Outfitter and has rentals. Hope to see you at one of these jamborees!
