KIPU RANCH ADVENTURES, HAWAII

Hawaii is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the western hemisphere, and it is also a great place to ride. Throughout the chain of islands, there are numerous rental and tour companies to choose from; however, none have the history of Kipu Ranch Tours on the garden island of Kauai.

ABOUT KIPU

Kipu Ranch is situated on a 3000-acre cattle ranch with a rich history that dates back to its establishment in 1872. In December, Kipu Ranch Tours celebrated its 20th year in business. Since UTVs have become more popular than ATVs for touring, Kipu has been relying on Kawasaki Teryxs and Mules. We agree the Teryx is the perfect machine for this type of adventure. It’s fun, comfortable, safe and reliable.

At Kipu, they don’t let the customers run wild, but they do let customers drive. Prior to the ride session, customers get a lesson on the capabilities of the Kawasaki and its safety limits. The terrain on Kauai can vary from smooth and easy to very muddy and technical, depending on the amount of rain in the area.

PRICES & ADVENTURES

Tours are all guided, and you can drive your own Kawasaki UTV or you can relax and ride with a guide to a number of destinations on the ranch—from ancient historical sites to modern-day film locations that you might recognize from TV and the big screen.

Adventures include a three-hour movie location tour for $148, or four hours on the swim/hike/lunch waterfall run for $172. All prices are nearly half for kids ages 7–17. VIP tours can be arranged as well, so you can see all three trail systems. The latest VIP tour puts you in the seat of Kawasaki’s new Teryx KRX1000.
