MAXXIS ATV ENDUROCROSS!

  Speed TV subscribers and off-road motorcycle racers know all about the Maxxis Endurocross, which brings grueling off-road racing action indoors, sort of like how Supercross is the stadium version of traditional outdoor motocross. Endurocross is a course made of dirt, mud, boulders, telephone poles, logs, tractor tires and water holes, and racers from all off-road motorcycle disciplines (GNCC, MX, AMA enduro, world enduro, WORCS, desert, trials) come together to race for the #1 plate and purse money. Past winners include Ryan Hughes, John Dowd and David Knight, and Endurcross has grown from a two-night event held inside the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas to a three-round series with stops in Las Vegas, Colorado and Oklahoma.

 Endurocross is the brainchild of Tim Clark and Eric Peronnard, the same folks that promote the U.S. Open of MX in the MGM Grand Arena in October. Well, October is going to be an even busier month this year, because there’s going to be an ATV Endurocross October 7 in the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The Maxxis ATV Endurocross has a purse of $10,000 with Expert Sport ATV and Utility ATV divisions getting $2,500 to win, $1,500 for second and $1,000 for third. There will also be amateur sport and utility ATV classes and a side-by-side demo race. Bill Ballance, Tim Farr and KTM have committed to attend at post time, and many more top names will likely shoot for fame and fortune. The October 7 ATV Endurocross will be aired on Speed TV, and the show will be separate from the coverage of the two-wheeler Endurocross round to be run October 6.
