OGIO ATIBA MINI CAMERA PACK

WHAT IT IS: Ogio makes backpacks, bags, and carriers for just about any sport you can think of. Their products are top quality, combining rugged construction with good looks and amazing functionality. One of their newer designs is the Atiba Mini camera backpack. It’s made specifically for the action photographer, one who’s going to shoot photos in places where you don’t want a single-strap camera pack getting hung up. It’s the perfect choice for any motorsport photographer, whether it be ATV, MX, BMX, snowboarding, etc.

MATERIALS: The Atiba Mini is made with a durable nylon exterior with five zippered pockets. There is a small pocket on the front of the pack, perfect for carrying CDs or DVDs, or even maps, books or paperwork. The next zipper up closes a large pocket that contains  organizers, pouches and pen holders. There is also a small, felt-lined pocket for your mp3 player and a rubber headphone outlet, so you can keep your iPod safe from damage. The large pocket features a zipper spanning three sides of the circumference of the bag, so the top folds a full 180 degrees from the bottom. Inside are adjustable, padded separators for placing your camera, lenses, speedlights, and more. The pack holds a combined total of 1900 cubic inches, and only measures 16″Lx13″Wx10″D.

PERFORMANCE: The pack is flawless. If you carry one or two cameras with a few lenses, extra batteries, an external flash, extra memory cards, cords, a remote, and a couple other small items, it will all fit in this pack. The straps are very comfortable, and it even has a sternum strap with a quick-release buckle! It looks great, does everything it’s supposed to, and is extremely durable. The coolest feature of this pack is that it has its own water-shedding cover hidden in the lower front pocket! Deemed “the Showercap, it’s a matching Nylon cover with a leash that fits snugly over the top of your pack to keep out dust, snow, water, and debris while you’re shooting. Cool!

THE VERDICT: We give this product two thumbs up. If you’ve ever tried to take your single-strap camera bag with you on your ATV, you should know that it usually turns out to be more trouble than it’s worth. Ogio offers a variety of camera and video bags, and this is just the smallest, most lightweight one in the line. If you’re looking for a way to transport your equipment, Ogio has you covered.
