OHV RIDING RESUMES IN CALIFORNIA CITY DESERT
Today it was announced that all riding and camping in the desert surrounding California City, California can resume. The state government would still like you to abide by social distancing guidelines and of course be safe as OHV riding resumes. California City is located 100 miles North of Los Angeles and is popular in the winter months for all kinds of off-road activities. However the desert is open year round to enjoy. In Fact, the Pure UTV Race Series goes year round at Alta Vista Ranch and is a good place to cut your teeth in UTV racing.
Or better yet, get out with your family and breathe some fresh air and go for a long overdue ride. While Borax Bills Park & Station which has information, vendors and full service, air conditioned bathrooms is still closed until next Fall the surrounding a great place to stage for ride. Enjoy the sprawling deserts and its endless unimproved campsites and diverse trails as OHV riding resumes.
Additionally, nearby Dove Springs and Jawbone Canyon are open for day use riding. However, Red Rock Canyon is still closed.
