ON THE PODIUM: UTV RACE RESULTS

LUCAS OIL ESTERO BEACH, WORCS MESQUITE

LUCAS OIL ESTERO BEACH
At the third round of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) at Estero Beach in Ensenada, Baja, Mexico, Weller Racing won both UTV classes. Corry Weller dominated the Pro Turbo UTVs in her Can-Am X3, while defending Production 1000 champion Brock Heger took his second win of the season in his Yamaha YXZ.

Corry Weller has won every LOORRS and Arizona Regional run so far in her Weller/DragonFire Racing X3.

Weller missed being fast qualifier by one one-hundredth of a second, and LOORRS inverted her to six in the main. She was in third by the second turn and first by the second lap, and then she stretched her lead on the field. Ronnie Anderson (Pol) and Chance Haugen (Pol) fought over second most the race, with Anderson taking that spot. Weller remains undefeated after three rounds.

Production 1000 racing was tight most of the main, as the mid-race caution erased Brock Heger’s huge lead.

Heger was on the front row for his main with Robert Stout (Yam), but Myles Cheek spilt the two to take the early 1000 lead. The three fought for a few laps until Heger took over and gapped the field. Stout took second for a Yamaha 1-2, with Cheek third for Polaris.

MESQUITE WORLD OFF-ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Polaris and the RS1 completely dominated the Mesquite round of the WORCS series in the Pro Stock 1000 class, taking the top 10 positions. Defending champion Cody Bradbury returned to his winning ways, beating Beau Baron by 11 seconds, with Matt Hancock third. It was an all RS1 podium, and Baron moves to second in points.
Can-Am’s Miller brothers dominated the Pro Turbo class with Cody winning by 17 seconds and Hunter besting third-place Cody Bradbury by 11 seconds. Cody leads Turbo Pro points by 14 over Bradbury, and both have had four podiums and one bad round. Miller had a 13th at Lake Havasu, while Bradbury DNF at Peoria, Arizona.

Cody Miller gapped the Turbo field at the Mesquite WORCS round and also stretched his points lead.
