ON THE PODIUM: UTV RACE RESULTS

LAS VEGAS ORLEANS WORCS, LUCAS OIL IN ARIZONA

TIGHT WORCS RACING IN VEGAS

The World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) round at the Las Vegas Orleans Casino is like no other, with a tight course laid out in the rodeo arena, tunnels, parking lots and casino grounds with Endurocross-like logs, boulders and truck tire sections. Due to the large number of entries, Pro classes were split into two groups. Former GNCC champion Kyle Chaney raced his first WORCS race in many years and came away with the Pro Turbo win over XPS teammate Cody Miller for a Can-Am 1-2. Cody Bradbury was third Turbo in his Polaris.

Knowing RS1s had a handling advantage in Pro Stock 1000s, Colby Wemple toed out the rear end of this RZR XP 1000 and made shock changes for quicker handling. Corbin Leaverton dominated his group in his RS1 but backed off late in the race, only to be bested by one second on adjusted time by Wemple. Denied the win, Leaverton still stretched his points lead with second, and Davi Haagsma was third for an all-Polaris podium.

Colby Wemple stopped Corbin Leaverton’s Production 1000 win streak.
