HOW-TO: UPGRADE RZR XP 1000 RIDE QUALITY

-- In the July 2015 issue of UTV Action, we upgraded the ride quality on my RZR XP 900 with Shock Therapy’s (ST) valving and internal-mod Ride Improvement System (RIS) and dual-rate springs with silent cross-overs. While we shot photos and waited to test the improvements, Shock Therapy’s Justin Smith suggested we try out his RZR XP 1000 with ST sway bars, RIS and DRS on Shock Therapy’s incredibly rough test loop. Big mistake! The ride was so plush, I immediately decided I had to have the XP1K and sell off my XP 900. I ended…

Yamaha’s revolutionary YXZ1000R, with its triple-cylinder engine and sequential-shift manual five-speed transmission, has set the racing world and dune scene on fire, but it’s high-strung in stock form for tight trail work. Yamaha unveiled the Rekluse EXP 3.0 slipper clutch at the YZX introduction and developed the GYTR Torque-Assist Gear (TAG) kit…

We tested the new 750 to see what it’s all about. WHAT’S NEW? The Challenger 750 isn’t an updated Challenger 700; it’s a whole…

Kawasaki introduced the V-twin Teryx for the 2008 model year, giving sport and exploration enthusiasts a powerful woods weapon. The Teryx evolved with EFI for 2009 and from 750cc to 783cc for 2014. The Teryx 800 and Teryx4 got another facelift in 2016, and the six-model Teryx line has arguably the best fit and finish of any UTV on the market. For…

HAULING TIPS: HOW TO SECURE YOUR UTV

-- Do you ever worry about the straps coming loose when hauling your prized machine? Would you prefer to have an added bit of security to make sure it stays in place? Well, now you can have that with the new Drive-Over-Chock. It easily attaches to the bed of your trailer with the supplied screws. You get it mounted in place and simply drive the front tires over.
