POLARIS WINS BIG AT THE 52ND SCORE BAJA 1000

MATLOCKS & LAMBERT SCORE BAJA 1000 WINS

Justin Lambert won the 52nd SCORE Baja 1000 UTV overall and was 29th overall in the 800-mile race, scoring the Pro Turbo UTV win for Polaris. The #2918 pilot finished in 21 hours and 42.687 seconds and crossed the finish line almost 19 minutes ahead of Wayne Matlock in another Polaris Turbo. Matt Burroughs rounded out the Pro Turbo podium in the #2948 Can-Am X3.

Wayne Matlock opened the 2019 SCORE series with a win at the San Felipe 250, and a second at the Baja 1000 landed him and Polaris the 2019 Pro Turbo UTV championship.

Coming into the Baja 1000, Marc Burnett was leading the Pro Turbos by six points after a third in San Felipe and two seconds in the 500 and 400. He led early but suffered eight broken belts and a broken suspension arm, which cost him 2.5 hours and the championship. Wayne Matlock won the Pro Turbo championship with his win at the 250 and second in the 1000.

Marc Burnett took the UTV lead by Uruapan but lost it with a series of blown belts, ultimately losing the Pro Turbo UTV championship by two points.

Kristin Matlock finished 41st overall and first Normally Aspirated UTV, scoring another class win for Polaris, ahead of Kaden Wells in another RZR 1000. Trent Backus was third Pro NA UTV for a Polaris sweep of that podium. Coming into the 52nd Baja 1000, Wells had a huge 59-point lead over Matlock, and she took the Pro NA UTV championship with wins at the Baja 500 and 400 and seconds at the San Felipe 250 and Baja Mil.

Kristin Matlock won the Normally Aspirated UTV Pro class at the 1000 ahead of points leader Kaden Wells.
