KLIM F3 HELMET
— PRODUCT TEST —
Klim’s new F3 helmet is made from structure-mapped composite that optimizes shell strength and reduces weight. At 3.3 pounds in the large size, it is lighter than some conventional helmets and many off-road helmets with face shields. Three shell sizes keep the helmet’s external dimensions as compact as possible in all sizes. The shell has an extra-large eyeport for compatibility with all goggles and unobstructed visibility. Thirteen intake vents and six exhaust vents provide ample venting even at low speeds. This helmet meets or exceeds ECE and DOT standards. Klimatek liner fabric is fast-wicking and anti-microbial. The F3 is $299.99 and is available in six color schemes.

PERFORMANCE:
From the minute we put the F3 on, we were impressed by its comfortable fit and light weight, and the helmet stayed comfortable during all-day rides with no pressure points or other problems. There was no break in time needed or any need to customize the fit to get excellent comfort. We put the F3’s venting to the test in hot, humid weather, and it did well. Some sweating was unavoidable because of the conditions, but the Klimatek fabric kept us feeling dry.
THE VERDICT:
Klim’s F3 helmet isn’t a low-priced helmet, but it’s so comfortable and light, we think you’ll be pleased you spent a little more. UTV enthusiasts wear a wide range of helmets, including kinds with face shields, but the F3 shows the traditional off-road helmet is still a great choice.
