— Testing an over-the-clothes, full-coverage driving suit that is easy to take on and off. —
The Klim Terra Dust Suit is for anyone who is tired of getting his street clothes dirty when riding side by sides. The price of $129 makes it a bargain buy over other driving suits.
The one-layer Terra Firma jumpsuit is made from a breathable cotton/polyester material. It has a long zipper down the front, making entry and exit quick and simple. Five pockets are placed conveniently for carrying items like a wallet, cell phone or GPS unit. Side zippers provide ventilation for the armpit area and access to your own pants’ pockets.
We have tested the suit for months, including on a seven-day Baja trip with Go Baja Riding Tours. The suit is comfortable for all-day riding. We liked that the suit provides an extra layer of warmth in the morning, and we could take it off and stow it if things got hot. Or, if we happened on a muddy or silty section, we could just throw it back on. The leg cuffs are large enough to fit over one’s shoes.
Whether it’s dust or mud, it ends up on your clothes. And if you don’t plan on changing after the ride, it gets on your truck’s seats too. Fortunately, Klim has a solution with its Terra Firma dust suit that can be worn over your everyday clothes.
At $129, the suit does cost a lot more than a pair of coveralls, but it suits UTV drivers perfectly and looks way more sporty.
