— PRP Seats was founded to provide high-quality seats and harnesses for our UTVs. However, the company has also branched out into manufacturing doors, soft tops, storage bags, spare-tire mounts and safety window nets. PRP seats has nets for the Polaris RZR XP 1000, XP Turbo, S 1000 and 900, RZR XP 4; Can-Am Maverick X3; and Yamaha YXZ1000R.
Quick installation comes from four cuffs with two-sided hook-and-loop tape in back and three plastic clips with hook-and-loop anchors in front. Use the two existing door-skin Torx screws to attach the nets to the RZR’s quarter doors.
Heavy-duty nylon webbing frames the nylon screen nets, and thick cuffs mean long life. Metal struts inside the front and top webs provide strength to keep hands inside the cabin in case of a tip-over. Also, the plastic clips speed up entry and exit.
WHO’S IT FOR?
While full-time racers will build a UTV with a racing cage with permanent nets, the part-time racer can utilize the PRP nets to meet racing regulations and then remove them.
Hook-and-loop cuffs and plastic clips make for easy installation, but the top/rear cuffs would slide down the cage when the nets were lowered to open the doors. We added a zip-tie on each side to hold the cuff in place. The PRP nets fit well on our RZR S 1000 and Dynamix XP Turbo and provided race legality for most racing organizations. We also like the ambidextrous top and front clips; they can be installed on the cage so that they’re more easily manipulated from inside or outside of the cab.
PRP’s window nets for the RZR 900, S/XP 1000 and Turbo are easy to install and work well for the weekend warrior who sometimes enters sanctioned races. Overall, they provide protection and easy entrance/exit at a low price. Owners will also want the extra protection of PRP’s RZR door kits ($550).
