HOW TO REPLACE CAN-AM RIVETS

— Rivet replacement kit from Warranty Killer Performance —

Here is a rivet nut, bolt and washer kit from Warranty Killer Performance to once and for all replace the rivets that hold on Can-Am’s skid plates or bodywork. A rivet nut is a nut that gets sandwiched inside a hole and will accept a bolt to secure an object such as a skid plate.

WHAT DOES IT FIT?

The kit will fit anything, but it has been specifically developed for the Can-Am Maverick X3.

PERFORMANCE:

It’s a knuckle-busting chore to drill or punch out the nearly 50 rivets that hold the stock Can-Am Maverick X3 skid plate to the frame. It’s a job you only want to do once. It took us an hour to punch out the old rivets and install the rivet replacement kit from Warranty Killer Performance. The hardest part of the installation was locating the proper (steel) rivet nut tool to get the job done. Do yourself a favor and order one first from eBay or Amazon. It’s an extra $40–$50, but if you own a Can-Am, you will need one sooner not later.

THE VERDICT:

The kit makes owning a Can-Am Maverick X3 even better. Before, it was nearly impossible to properly clean and maintain the X3. Now you can do regular inspections without hassle. See our complete install video on this product at www.utvactionmag.com.
