YAMAHA’S BIG KING OF HAMMERS PAYOUT

Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, pledges over $100,000 in Side-by-Side (SxS) and ATV bLU cRU championship racing bonuses for the 2020 season, including $10,000 for a first-place finish in a YXZ1000R or YXZ1000R SS (Sport Shift) at the 2020 King of the Hammers (KOH) race on February 2. 2019 YAMAHA YXZ1000R & SE

-- More upgrades and a lower price -- Yamaha's YXZ1000R and YXZ1000R SE have fully manual 5 speed transmissions rather than belt-type automatics. For 2019 the price dropped by $1000 on these YXZs along with being completely revised with lower gearing, a re-sculptured cage and larger rear-mounted radiator, larger 29-inch tires with new rim bolt pattern, and new Fox shock and EPS settings. 2019 YAMAHA YXZ1000RSS & SE

Prices dropped by $1600 for the 2019 Sport Shift models which feature beltless automatic clutch 5 speed transmissions with paddle shifters. Sport Shift YXZs also get lower gearing and revised shock and EPS tuning to match 29-inch, 8-ply Bighorn tires on new rims with a 4/156-bolt pattern, along with a rear radiator and a new cage. FIRST TEST IMPRESSION OF THE YXZ1000R SPORT SHIFT

Yamaha recently hosted the introduction of the YXZ1000R Sport Shift at the site of the Big Buck GNCC in South Carolina, and Yamaha has again rocked the UTV world with another game-changing, extreme-performance machine. The YXZ1000RSS is almost identical to the YXZ1000R, but it replaces the manual clutch pedal with an electronic actuator for the remaining hydraulic clutch, and electronic shifting is controlled by steering-stem mounted paddle shifters and Yamaha’s Chip-Controlled Shift (YCC-S) technology.
