TOYO ROLLS INTO UTV MARKET WITH OPEN COUNTRY SXS TIRE

One of the most aggressive truck tire makers, Toyo, has entered the UTV world with a product developed specifically for the side-by-side segment from the ground up. Guys like Robby Gordon and Bryce Menzies have already been running the tire at King Of The Hammers, Baja and in Dakar.

Its tread design is very similar in appearance to the competition Toyo makes for off-road racing or the on road truck market. Visually the difference in tread from the DOT is the lack of siping on the SxS tread blocks.
The SXS tire is a non DOT off road use only tire and comes in one size for now. That size is a 32×9.5-15 weighing 44 pounds with an 1,820 pound load rating at 35psi according to TOYO.

All Toyo truck and SXS can be purchased at dealers like Americas Tire, Discount Tire or 4 Wheel parts locations nationwide. On the 4 Wheel Parts website, you can pay an extra $25 per tire for a warranty that covers sidewall punctures and un repairable issues for the first 50% of the tread life. The rest is prorated. 4 Wheel Parts sells the new Toyo Open County SXS for $243 per tire. Visit them at www.4wheelparts.com or see a your local dealer list at toyotires.com.
