WHERE TO RIDE AND RACE YOUR UTV
MANTI UTAH ATV/UTV RUN AUGUST 15-17
Utah now hosts eight UTV jamborees each year, with five held in central Utah using the Paiute and Arapeen Trail Systems. The Manti Mountain ATV/UTV Run will be held on the Arapeen OHV Trail System Friday August 16th and Saturday August 17th, with late registration and a free ride being held Thursday the 15th. There will be multiple guided-ride options for UTV and ATV enthusiasts, with trail rides subject to change due to weather conditions and demand. The Manti-LaSal National Forest offers beautiful vistas and intermediate to advanced trails in the Arapeen OHV Trail System.
The Manti Mountain Run starts at 5,600 feet and tops out almost 11,000 feet in elevation, so it’s a great place to beat the summer heat. It’s the northern-most jamboree in Utah. Some trails have width restrictions, but there are plenty of trails for UTVs wider than 50 inches. Price per person is $50 for the three days of guided rides, and that includes sack lunches for two days, continental breakfasts and a Friday dinner. Rides are 6-7 hours long, and rides leave from the Manti City Park West Pavilion (200 North & 400 West).
Youths aged 8 to 15 are required to obtain Utah State Parks OHV Education Certificate, which can be accessed from the Manti Mountain Run website at www.mantiatvrun.com. Registration is also completed at that website. Youths are also required to wear approved helmets. Arapeen OHV Trail Maps can also be bought online, and the website also has information on campgrounds, hotels and other lodging, ATV/UTV rentals, and restaurants.
