WHERE TO RIDE AND RACE YOUR UTV: SxS ADVENTURE RALLY
UTAH UTV ADVENTURE RALLY NOVEMBER 6-9 2019
Jamboree season is over in most places, but not beautiful southwest Utah. Now in its fifth year, the SxS Adventure Rally has three days of guided rides on awesome and scenic trails, demo rides, vendor rally specials, social-media contests and giveaways by Yamaha, good food and more on November 6-9, 2019. There average temperature for Sand Hollow will be 65 degrees and sunny.

Moab Rally on the Rocks promoter Lanse Chournos and former WORCS promoter Sean Reddish got together years ago to form a fall UTV jamboree at the former WORCS headquarters, Utah’s Sand Hollow State Park. Sand Hollow has a unique mix of red sand dunes, sandstone rock formations and desert, and locals are laying new trails every year. Now in its fifth year, the SxS Adventure Rally has three guided-ride days with 10 rides – two easy, three moderate and five difficult – per day. So, participants can choose between the easiest (Top of the World Loop) to the most majestic and difficult (The Ledges). Four of the five difficult trails are in the sandstone formations along the west edge of the park, and there is also a lake to overlook and cool off in during hotter months. Rides usually return by 2:00PM, so participants can then hit the demo rides and vendor row.
BEYOND AWESOME TRAILS
Three days of guided rides bombard the senses with beauty, but there is much more to the SxS Adventure Rally. Can-Am, Yamaha, Polaris, and Honda will put on demo rides so enthusiasts can experience the latest and greatest UTVs (Thursday through Saturday). CST has been title sponsor, but HCR Racing takes over as title sponsor for 2019. Sponsors and vendors include D&P Performance, HCR Racing, Walker Evans Racing, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Fuel Off-Road, Zion ATV Adventures, DirTees, R1 Industries, Moto Zoo and Camp Chef.

All of these vendors donate their products and even cold cash to the Friday night raffle, and a RZR XP-4 1000 has been auctioned off for charity in past rallies. Camp Chef will cook breakfast on Thursday and Friday before giving away the stoves and grills in Friday evening’s raffle. Saturday’s breakfast will be continental.

There are group camping sites at Sand Hollow State Park and dry camping surrounding the reservoir, so call SHSP Visitors Center for rates and availability. Nearby lodging information is posted at www.sxsadventurerally.com. Rally registration is $125 per person online; this includes a SxSAR T-shirt, three breakfasts and three days of guided rides. Onsite registration is $135 per person, not including a T-shirt.
