WHERE TO RIDE AND RACE YOUR UTV: ULTRA4 2020 NATIONALS

ULTRA4 UTV RACING OCTOBER 23-24 AT DAVIS OKLAHOMA

Extreme 4×4 racing fans get ready for the 7th Annual Ultra4 National Championships, to be held October 23rd and 24th at the Crossbar Ranch Off-road Park in Davis, Oklahoma. The Ultra4 Nationals will crown UTV (4900) and Extreme 4400, 4500 Modified, 4600 Stock and 4800 Legends 4×4 champions, and each class has a guaranteed purse of $1,000 payable down to third place. All UTVs will be lumped together in one class. Those who have raced the 2020 King of the Hammers (KOH) and at least three other East or West rounds will have their national entry comped. Visit www.ultra4racing.com for registration and additional info such as safety requirements including a six-point roll cage, one-piece driving suit, helmet, harness, doors, window nets, fire extinguisher, etc. UTVs are limited to 1000cc engines.

Expect Crossbar Ranch to be rocky and mountainous, but not as rocky as the KOH.

The Crossbar Ranch Off-road Park has more than 6,500 acres of Arbuckle mountains, forests, rocks, 150 miles of trails, creek crossings and beds a little more than an hour away from Oklahoma City. The park is open for business, riding, racing and camping, so social distance off-road style at the Ultra4 Nationals. Pit gate entry is $25, and a UTV entry is $225. Spectator General Admission tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for children 10-15 and free for younger.

The Ultra4 Nationals course will most likely be on the north end of the ranch using Onion Patch and Screen Door.

Daily hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, and it’s run by the City of Davis. The Crossbar Ranch has RV hook-ups and dry camping across five campgrounds. RV camping is $35 per night with hook-ups or $15 for primitive, and dry camping is $10 per night. Normal park entries fees are $20 for adults or $10 for kids aged 10-15; kids 9 and under are free.

The last Ultra4 round, the Lasernut Area BFE Beatdown in Moab, saw Cole Clark win the UTVs ahead of Mark Welch by 3 minutes 6 seconds, with Tennessee Teardown winner Jamie McCoy third. Of 17 UTV entries, 13 finished, with Kawasaki brand spokesman and Teryx KRX1000 driver not finishing.
