Lake Havasu City, Arizona, will host the 2020 UTV World Championships on October 7th-11th, 2020. More than 250 teams have signed up for Youth, Short-Course and Desert UTV Classes, and almost 50 vendors have committed to the AZ West UTV Festival. So far, 180 UTVs will participate in the Rigid Industries Poker Run with navigation by onX Offroad. All events will be held at Standard Wash, five miles south of town, including the AZ West UTV Festival, which was originally slated for Lake Havasu State Park. Parking and admission are free!
Race Registration has also been moved to the start-finish line at Standard Wash. All Short-Course classes will be combined into one race beginning at 7:00AM on Friday October 9th. Competitors will do two full laps on the 29.1-mile course. The Drivers Meeting, Media Safety Meeting and Awards Ceremony will by live-streamed via social media. Unfortunately, the Welcome party and Pit Crew Challenge were cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns.
Pre-running begins on October 3rd and ends on the 6th. Team campers move in October 5th, and the Rigid Poker Run begins at 8:00AM on Wednesday the 7th and ends at 5:00PM. On Thursday the 8th, the AZ West UTV Festival begins at 9:00AM, along with Tech Inspection, Qualifying, and the Youth 170, 250, 570 and 1000 Parade Lap at 4:00PM.
On Friday the 9th, the Pro Turbos, 1000s, 900s and 700/800 UTVs will start at 7:00AM and must finish by 10:30AM. Youth 570s start at 11:00AM, and Youth 1000s start at noon. Pro N/A 1000s and Pro Unlimiteds start at 2:00PM. On Saturday the 10th, UTV Rally, Pro RS1 and Sportsman start their Desert race at 7:00AM. Youth 170s start their Short-Course race at 11:30AM, and Youth 250s are at 12:30PM. Pro Turbos start the Desert Course at 2:00PM. The Awards Ceremony is 9:00AM to Noon on Sunday the 11th.
