If you are a hardcore UTV fan and would love to go on a luxury vacation that was centered around an epic ride and amazing food, then The Legends Rally in Baja is perfect for you. The three-day 350-mile ride, also called the lazo de playa, is a guided Mexico trail ride that covers both lush mountains and breath taking beaches. While the focus of the event is to enjoy off-roading the best trails that Baja has to offer they want guests to really experience the local food and culture. Some of the most famous off-road racing legends tag along to explore the beauty of Baja but that doesn’t mean that the trails aren’t suitable for all skill levels.

The first day starts just outside Ensenada at Horsepower Ranch. The trail starts a few miles from the ranch and heads slightly east near Ojos Negros before cutting back towards the Pacific Ocean through the iconic race trail Tres Hermanos. Lunch is the gourmet stop for the day, at the MD Vinos. From there riders will head to the beach via Santo Tomas, Erendira and Punta Colonet.  After more than 60 miles on the coast the day will conclude in Bahia San Quintin at the waterfront Old Mill Hotel.

Day two starts off with a bit more beach time before heading north to Colonet and turning east to climb up to Mike’s Sky Ranch. After traversing through the rugged Sierra San Pedro Martir Mountains, the rally drops down into Valle de la Trinidad for a feast of some of Baja’s best tacos. After lunch, the group will ascend the famed Goat Trail into the highlands which skims the pine forest as the ride loops back to Ojos Negros. Dinner is held at La Cava de Marcelo, also known as Cava de Queso which sounds like a dream come true. There is one final leg to El Tule to take in the sunset while overlooking the city of Ensenada. The ride will conclude back at Horsepower Ranch for drinks.

This years ride is October 6th-9th with legend Walker Evans. Although this rally is a bit pricey with tickets at $1500 a person it includes all fuel, hotel accommodations, meals, a gift bag, photography and video guided tour, chase support, and medical support. All the digs plus the awesome experience of the glorious Mexico trails and cuisine make the price totally worth it for a luxury off-road get away.
