To replace the cancelled Wheatland round, Lucas Oil held a second Glen Helen Raceway round, the eighth of the LOORRS series. In Production 1000 UTVs, defending champ Brock Heger was fighting to get the points lead back after two disastrous finishes in Nevada. He again dominated the Production 1000 field, winning over points leader Robert Stout and Dallas Nord for an all-Yamaha podium. However, the points were so tight that qualifying played a big part of the weekend. Myles Cheek was Sunday’s top qualifier over Stout and Heger, robbing the two championship front-runners of valuable points. As a result, Heger is still seven points down with only one round to go.

Robert Stout fought hard for a pair of second-place finishes behind Brock Heger at Glen Helen, but he made up the points he lost in the Production 1000 mains in qualifying. He goes into the last round seven points up on the defending champ.

In Pro Turbo UTVs, points leader Corry Weller was second fastest in qualifying behind Trevor Leighton, winner of the previous round, with Ronnie Anderson third. Like he had the previous day, Anderson jumped out front of the Turbo field, and he drove a great race for the win over Robert VanBeekum, giving Polaris another 1-2 day. Eliott Watson and Weller gave Can-Am a 3-4 day. With a second and first and eight qualifying points, Anderson had a big points weekend and closed to within 11 of Weller with one round to go.

Brock Heger returned to form with a pair of Production 1000 wins at the LOORRS Golden State Nationals, but Stout scored more qualifying points over the weekend.

Jeremy McGrath, the King of Supercross and UTV enthusiast, came out of a 1.5-year retirement to dominate the Pro 2s at Glen Helen. The 2017 Pro 2 champion was top qualifier and handily won both rounds. His children Rowan and Bergen now race JR2 Karts.
