New for 2022, the three seat, 62 inch wide 2022 Can-Am Defender HD7/HD9 are powered by the 52 horsepower 650cc single cylinder HD7 engine or the 65 horsepower, 976cc HD9 V-twin. These Defender models don’t have power steering but you get most of the capablity and comfort of the Defender platform at entry level prices. Both machines come with fully automatic transmissions with electronic belt protection and hill-descent control. Selectable 2WD/4WD with Can-Am’s Visco-Lok QE automatic locking front differential provides traction in any conditions. The rear differential offers turf mode. Both models have 12 inch steel wheels with 27 inch tires.
