UTV HOT SPECS // 2022 HONDA TALON R LIVE VALVE
The 2022 Honda Talon R Live Valve is finally here and it includes improvements added to the entire Talon family of sport UTVs. The upgrades include a relocated meter with improved visibility; extended shift paddles for easier manual gear changes; better mud protection via seat sealing; revised ignition timing for smoother transitions from deceleration to acceleration; updated styling; improved i-4WD and a pre-wired switch panel to facilitate installation of electronic accessories. All Talon models are powered by a 999cc parallel twin. Here’s what you need to know about each 2022 Talon Live Valve
There are two versions of the Talon 1000R, Honda’s 68.4” wide sport machine; the base model with Fox QS3 compression adjustable shocks, and the Fox Live Valve. Both have 17.7” of travel up front and 20.1” in the rear. Honda’s computer controlled Fox Live Valve suspension delivers a smoother ride in slow and fast driving, and the system also offers better control and stability because it’s so aware and responds so quickly. Sensors monitor the engine, transmission, steering, brakes, G-forces and the vehicle’s angle and continuously adjust the suspension automatically. Honda’s Live Valve suspension also offers two dashboard button-selectable modes, a comfort focused standard mode and sport mode for more agressive driving.
Honda’s unique, geared 6 speed transmission has no drive belt to wear or break and it offers automatic and manual shifting modes, with sport and normal automatic shift programs, plus low and high range. The Live Valve model also has launch mode, which allows full throttle acceleration from a dead stop.
