KING OF THE HAMMERS DESERT RACE RESULTS & GALLERY

Last year’s Prologue winner, Brock Heger (#1896), stood on top of the podium yet again, to take the overall (and in the UTV Open Class) finishing the four lap race in just over 4 hours and 19 minutes in his Polaris RZR Pro-R.
Brock Heger: “It’s nice to be back in home territory, today was a good day. We just did our thing and never looked back. We had a ton of fun, looking forward to the rock race on Thursday. Now that we’re in the new RZR Pro R, we’re ready to go get Kyle Cheney from out front.”
Doug Mittag (#981) finished today’s race in second, also in a Polaris RZR Pro-R, just over three minutes behind Heger.
Doug Mittag: “It was fun, the first 20 miles were super rocky. This is one of the best handling cars out there and I was trying to push really hard in the beginning. There is a lot of competition in this class right now, maybe the most in desert racing. Ryan did a great job all day as my co-driver, he hits his marks and doesn’t fatigue.”
Dallas Gonzales (#80) rounded out the podium in third.
