NEW TROXUS RIDGE 900
— UTV ACTION MAGAZINE INVESTIGATES A NEW UTV —
So, you say you’ve never heard of Troxus? Well, that’s understandable. It’s a Chinese company that makes ATVs and this new UTV, but has focussed its attention mainly on the European market. It was in Milan, Italy at the EICMA new vehicle show when we came across this machine.
The Ridge 900 was designed by the Troxus team along with help from the Austrian design firm known as Kiska. The 885cc engine is a V-twin with 8 valves and fuel-injection, rated at 75 horsepower. A CVT sends power to all four wheels.
It has independent suspension front and rear with around 14 inches of wheel travel. The Ridge 900 has a 88 inch wheelbase and weighs around 1,320 pounds. It comes with electric power steering, 14 inch beadlock wheels, reservoir shocks, adjustable seats and steering wheel.
Will the Troxus Ridge 900 be available for sale in the USA? Well, it seems like that is in their plans, because they recently opened up an office headquarters in Torrance, California known as TROXUS USA. The UTV Action magazine team will let you know more on that as the information becomes available.
