FAST FACTS ABOUT THE 2020 UTV WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 6th annual UTV World Championships is a week away. Here are the details you need to know if you plan on attending as a spectator or coming in to help one of the teams. Race dates are October 9th and 10th 2020.

The VENUE has moved from Laughlin, Nevada to a new home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

The RACE COURSE is NOT on the island, it’s on a 40-mile circuit that has been laid out on existing trials with the Start/Finish area located 10 miles South of town on Hwy 95 at the Standard Wash OHV area.

Racing will take place on Friday starting at 7:00 am on the shorter desert course. At 11:00am race 2 begins which is the Youth 570 class. At 12:00 pm  the Youth 1000 class is on course for a thirty minute race. The Pro N/A and Pro Unlimited cars will start their full desert race at 2:00 pm and finish closes at 8:00pm..

Saturday’s races will start at 7:00am on the full desert course for Rally, Sportsman and Pro RS1. At 11:30 and 12:45, the youth cars will run an abbreviated desert course. At 2:00 pm, the final race of the weekend starts and the Pro Turbos will hit the desert course until 8:00pm.

AZ WEST UTV FESTIVAL (tech/contingency) will be held at start/finish in the Standard Wash OHV area. From 9am-5pm on Thursday the 8th, this will be a chance for the races to show off their rides as well an opportunity for spectators  to shop for the latest in UTV accessories from vendors.

The public is welcomed to enter the Rigid powered by onX POKER RUN on Wednesday October 7th starting at 8:00 am at Standard Wash OHV area. Cost is $125 per vehicle. Each entry will receive (1) Poker Run T-Shirt and (1) Commemorative Poker Chip, with the option to buy more for additional passengers. All additional passengers must be in seats with a seatbelt. *The last Poker Run vehicle must leave the start line by 1:00pm.  Anyone showing up to the start line after 1:00pm will not be allowed to head out on course and will be disqualified for hands & prizes.

PRE RUNNING the UTV World Championships will be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm Saturday October 3rd-Tuesday the 6th at the Standard Wash OHV Area. According to the organizers, pre running is for racers only. The course has to be run clockwise and there is a 35 MPH max speed limit. The address is 7001 AZ-95 Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406

There are several opportunities to SPECTATE THE RACE and qualifying for free. Qualifying for pro classes takes place on 4-mile course near the start/finish area. This takes place Thursday from noon until 3:00pm. At 4:00 pm amateur classes get to take a parade lap. To spectate Friday and Saturday you can find the official spectator areas by downloading the onX GPS map on your phone  (for free) on Google Play or the App Store. The app has the race course highlighted as well as the best ways into the three spectator sections.  There is no camping in the Standard Wash OHV area from October 7th-11th.
