NORTHWEST OHV PARK, TEXAS
The Texas city of Bridgeport, with the help of several enthusiast groups, began converting 300 acres surrounding a rock quarry into an awesome OHV park in 2007. Completed in 2009, Northwest OHV Park opened to ATVs, dirt bikes, Jeeps and custom 4×4 rigs. UTVs are now part of the fun, and Bridgeport is making good on its goal to provide a safe, enjoyable trail system. Due to the terrain, the quarry has even attracted the Southern Rock Racing Association. The group held a series round at Northwest OHV this past February 23rd and 24th.

DAY AND NIGHT RIDING
UTV Action visited Northwest Park last September to test with Massimo. Also, we were there the day before one of the many night rides held during summer and fall months. The park is open all night, so people can spend all Saturday night on the trails and leave at closing time on Sunday. March through October, the park is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. November through February, park hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

CAMP AND RIDE
Campers can set up Friday nights and stay until Sunday two hours after the trails close. There are designated camping areas, so no camping is allowed on trails or in the woods. Northwest OHV Park is also pet-friendly, and there are food caterers on big weekends. Two dozen Jeep and 4×4 clubs frequent the park and trails. Fees are $4 for street-vehicle entry, $15 per ATV or dirt bike, and $25 for UTVs, 4x4s and Jeeps. Residents get a discount of $5 per ATV/DB and $10 per UTV or SUV. Camping is free. Northwest OHV Park is also known as Endeavor Bridgeport Adventure Park. Fees during the Southern Rock Racing events are $25 per day or $40 per weekend. So competitors experience the terrain. loops are set up along the legs of the quarry to challenge rock racers.
